I wanted atleast 10 to 12 maps. Didn't Battlefield Modern Combat ship with 10. Interview link below.

modern combat had 13.

No one played maps like harboredge, honor, coldfront, littlebigeye. So there were 8-9 well played maps. I'm sure it'll be fine. It's a little different than a game like cod4 where all of it's maps makes up one of bfbc's. Give em credit 8 is a pretty good amount.

No, it is not a good amount. DICE have probably made 12-16 maps for the release but decided to package 8 maps, and charge $10 for 4 more, then a few months later, $10 for 2 or 3 more. That way you can bay between $80-$100 for the game instead of just $60-$80.

Think about it. Why else would they do that? It is business, and they want your money.

Don't buy this game. It is garbage.

Yeah, plus they may add some maps designed specifically for conquest along with the free conquest download. Maybe. Hopefully

Also, I mainly remember 4 maps people played at
Backstab, Bridge too far, SpecialOp, and the Nest.
Those were the ones I saw the most.

I agree that those were the most played maps, and i agree with danbowie to EFF the stupid story mode, but in the most recent interview, they are saying conquest which will be free will prolly be on it's own seperate maps, which will be free as well. Thaz upwards of 13 maps right there if conquest has only 5. I'm not too worried. I will buy the maps for this game, but not guns or stupid stuff like that.

No doubt.. I usually always played Backstab, BTF, and Nest (thats the oil rig right? been a while since I played).. The oil rig map was awesome although a map like that would never fit into goldrush. It made for an excellent conquest map.

thenest was a desert map. Oil rig was theblackgold. thenest is my favvvorite map. 4 helicopters = epic win. nest and littlebigeye were 2 best maps made IMO.

Not 1 person, I repeat. NOT 1 PERSON INCLUDING DICE, KNOWS WHEN CONQUEST IS COMING. It could be a year from now n I don't kiss butt for empty promises from ea n dice. 8 maps is a joke and I think its the lowest amount ever for a serious shooting game. What game only comes out with 8 maps??? NONE!!!! What a sad day it is when your favorite series turns into a joke thats below normal game standards. The whole time EA and Dice are running around like they have something magical like the last golden ticket. Sorry but your just holding a crappy unfinished game so throw it down, its dirty and you'll get germs.

course we played them, when the noobs weren't voting the same maps over and over coz they were scared of the unknown.

more map cycling servers and less vote only servers would encourage more varied game play IMO.

the prob with voting servers is that noobs and cowards can easily out-vote the rest, and this forms a vicious circle in which all a lot of players know and want is one map (eg Borestab)

Yea i know i hated that. I had a lot of good games on honor, and littlebigeye was my second favorite map.

yeah both those maps are cool.

Honor is evil. Smokezero scored 78 kills and 3 deaths in the littlebird the other nite. SICK.

but yeah they get played too little.

which is why more all-maps-cycling servers would be a good idea so everyone is forced to get experience and then will vote for diff maps in voter-servers.
