Hey guy just a simple question. I play bf3 on the ps3 and at the moment I have No input lag. I am going to get a new TVs at some point this week and I was wondering if there was something I should look out for to possibly avoid it.

Any advice or tips welcome.

good refresh rate and make sure it has 2ms or less ^.^ also instead of tv maybe a gaming monitor will be a better idea make sure it has thru mode or game mode and i think thats about it

i highly recommend this monitor

if you want a cheaper monitor get the monitors evo uses for fighting game tournaments remember if its not a gaming tv/monitor it might so just make sure its a good one

Get a plasma. 0.001 ms response time and most have about ~20 ms lag in total that's the number you need to look for.

I've read about the response times n such like the 2ms u posted but if some TV's don't post it in the specs is it safe to assume it has a slower rate? Also, do ironic a TVs having maybe 6 or 8 Ms would result in the lag? with game mode on of course.

yes most tv's and monitors have 5ms or higher just be careful when your buying one some sellers like the guys at wallmart will bs you to thinking that the tv is fast so make sure you see specs before you buy it

even if the TV is on game mode but has 5ms or higher IT WILL LAG ^.^

Get a Sony TV not just because you have a PS3 but because Sony probably has the best quality TVs with no input lag also Sony TVs have this thing called Bravia sync which will supposedly improve the quality of the PS3 though I have never tried it.

Grown men that use those stupid pony pictures sicken me and any other sane person because only a mentally retarded person, a female/child or pedophile would put that as their avatar/signature. And if they're really a weirdo they'll have a custom made one.

um not all sony's tv's are great heck look at sonys ps3 3d tv it lags like hell and is not good for fighting games because its has 5ms

doesn't really matter the company but the specs of the product

Lol good to know will definitely do my research beforehand.

Also, I just checked the specs on my current model and apparently it has a 6ms response time yet I don't have input lag like I've seen before usually the regular bf3 response. So would that mean if I get another set with same it would yield same results?

lol I get nit picky when it come s to dropping lot of money on something xD

HAHA you DO have input lag its just unnoticeable with that tv of yours. Wait till you get your new TV you will be surprised at how fast and smooth aiming will be......unless you get the wrong tv/monitor

if your not a big spender get this monitor http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236059
its the monitor evo uses for fighting game tournaments like super street fighter 4 AE
