Hi there

I'd like to delete an old EA/Origin account (or merge it with my current one, but as the old account has no games registered to it I figure it's probably simpler to just delete the thing).

I have spent 1 1/2 hours talking to a person called "Shardul" on your Talk To A Game Advisor tech support IM and he has repeatedly assured me the only way to do this is to visit http://www.privacy_policy.com

As well as being a rather suspect URL (there is no mention of EA or Origin in the URL, and I don't think I've ever seen an underscore in a URL before) it also doesn't work. Replacing the underscore with a hyphen leads to a generic website about privacy policies, which clearly is not affiliated with EA so it's not even that he typed it wrong (several times).

The reason for my posting this thread is, therefore, twofold:

1) How do I go about deleting (or merging) an old account?
2) (Unless it turns out that "http://www.privacy_policy.com" is truly the website to visit to delete old EA accounts and it just so happened to be down every time I tried it) Could I politely request that you ensure people we are put through to on Talk To A Game Advisor do not repeatedly give out incorrect information?

I referred to that link before posting. However all that link really says is:
Now you can direct to help.origin.com to talk with a game advisor, to provide your accounts, and which account you want to use only. They can help you.
As I have explained in my post, this is precisely what I did. However the instructions I received were, as I explained, rather odd.

Hi Daniel,

Can you send me a PM regarding the account you wish to have disabled and the surrounding details. If you have a Customer Experience case number that would be helpful as well.

Thanks.
