Tend the pin

Here's a good suggestion. I am surprised it wasn't incorporated into the game already.

When a put is more than 25 feet you should leave the flag in as if a caddie was tending the pin so you can see it. And then when the putt is executed show the flag out.

It's too hard to see the hole on long putts.
