For the past 24 hours, whenever I click on a building with revenue to collect or a person wih a completed task, the thumbs/cash register/bill/etc just disappears and I don't get any money or xp from it. I keep trying to log out and log back on and it doesn't help. I am unable to contact EA ror help. Any suggestions?

I can't get anything either it has not worked for a week my stars are gone to what is going on

If you check your "Conform-o-meter" status you'll see you most likely have no stars.
You bonus will be in negative.
The problem will be "Righteousness" - Keep criminals and graffiti off the streets.
This (in my case) is usually because you or a friend have been vandalizing each others buildings. not 100% on why they chose to do this as it's quite confusing and doesn't seem to have any explanation in the game.
The way I have managed to get this back on track is to get a friend to vandalize one of my buildings then I went and cleaned it up right away.
This worked for me. (a few times)
