1. Edit players. At all. No rating changes, no equipment changes, no position changes.
2. No importing draft classes from NCAA
3. No fantasy draft
4. No multiplayer offline franchise.

These are all things you cannot do in this years version of the game. These topics were covered in detail in the months up to the game by multiple sources. If you don't like the changes, I don't know what to tell you other than maybe this game isn't for you. I'm tired of reading all the "shocked" responses by people who didn't do any research and blindly bought the game only to find out that these weren't included.

As for me, I miss some of them, but will be enjoying the best gameplay a Madden title has offered in years.

I agree. Its amazing to me in this day and age that people bought the game without a clue as to what was or was not in it.

Thats not really true. I edited players already and played a game with them. It might just be connected career that doesnt allow for it.

There needs to be a complain page so that the complainers that are copying and pasting the same thing through the whole forum can just go there and complain about everything.

I certainly understand that not everyone goes to message boards, which is fine, but there has been a lot of news released through different website, television, etc. If nothing else, this does show what much of the community wants back in for new year.

I'm really enjoying Connected Careers mode, so I hope that stays. Maybe M14 will put the big four (plus online co-op in CC ) in to keep everyone happy.

Yes... I thought EA did a great job in JUNE in coming out and saying "look... we didn't take these out of the game to hurt your feelings... just didn't have enough time."

Yeah, I was bummed but I got over it by the time I finished reading the article. I guess many of us will just keep complaining until they they turn blue in the face over it.

How can EA take these threads seriously when people are complaining about FG nets, hair styles, and stripes on socks!?!?!

Maybe some people are just dumb and can't read. I mean every year even if I am not on the forums I at least read a little about the game to see what is new and what they fixed. It takes maybe 20-30 mins of my day that I would use watching ESPN or something.

These people that don't go to the message boards to check out the game before they buy it are the same ones who rush immediately to the message boards when they don't like something about the game.

I'm not going to disagree there after seeing the forums explode today. There are a lot of features/options that we take for granted, but it's not EA's fault for putting the info out there and people not reading it. We usually hear complaints about gameplay, that's been severely toned down this year. That's a huge step in the right direction.

Gameplay is better than any other Madden game IMO. I agree with you though. I am very happy with the game this year. And already looking forward to 14.

It is disappointing these things are missing from the game, but it doesn't make the game any less fun. The gameplay is much improved and more challenging, the Connected Careers is quite fun and filled with loads of promise for Madden 14 and beyond.

Oh okay. So its OUR fault, (i didnt buy the game, and wont be) that EA decided to make changes that THE BUYER wouldnt want? And, do you think EA cares that people are complaining right now? If anything, they would of WANTED people to buy the game, then complain, instead of not buying all the way around. But its okay fan boys. You will see when the first day sales reports come out, and the numbers are WAY down, that you are the blind sheep minority, and that there are a lot more of us disgusted former loyalists that just said NO........

Oh sorry MOD. didnt know that it was a requisite for people to have to do tons of research about a game that most would expect would have the same feature it has had FOREVER. An offline franchise where you dont have to play with anyone else, and you can basically be GOD of your own design. Sorry. Didnt see that boss. Im so sorry. But way to use your status as a mod to basically insult people who perhaps didnt have TIME or feel the NEED to do research on something that has ALWAYS been there.

Good call.

If EA changed the game to where buyers dont want it then you will be proven right with the lack of sales. lets see how that goes. Lets talk again in two months. My guess is that about 3 million people will be buying the game.

I can't speak for the OP, but what I think he was getting at was in JUNE (almost three months ago) in the same article where they talked about CC, they also talked about what did not make the game. It's on EAs website, along with Pasta Padre, Operation Sports, and pretty much every other website that reviews the game.

I think the OP is basically saying that the information is out there. If, say, edit rosters meant the world to you, you made the choice in purchasing the game knowing that it was life and death. If you chose to purchase it, then that was a personal choice... that's on you.

And if you did not know that edit roster was not in the game, it's not like they tried to hide it. A minimum amount of research would have revealed that information. It sounds like you (and I just using "you" in a general sense, not you specifically) blindly purchased the game without researching what you are purchasing... isn't that the textbook definition of a blind sheep?

For me, I love Baseball... MLB 2k is my only baseball option (not buying a PS3 just so I can play a baseball game.) I did my research and when I discovered the garbage that MLB 2k12 was, I didn't whine about it... I just walked away. I decided that I was better off not having a video baseball game than I was to buy the game-- knowing it was garbage, and whine and cry about it every day. It was very easy.
