Thought I'd watch the vid section properly before I commented ...

It's a joke tbh , the single most annoying thing in that section to me is not the lack of comments , it's the fact that some people will make vids , bump them every minute but you NEVER see them commenting on others . They want " oh yeah that vid was dope" etc but cant find the time to return the favour to people .

I make it a habbit NOT to comment on regulars because that's one of their main traits , let their Internet friends comment instead with the same generic comment "another banger man"

I try to find vids with low comments and I take the time to watch and maybe comment , it's about making people feel like they didn't waste their time .


IMO the vid section needs a little more attention to make it work properly , #1 rule being if you dont comment , you don't get to post a vid .

I totally agree with you, and I try to do the same thing. Just like the mod that started this thread said...the people that made the video put a lot of work into it, why not give them a little feedback,Lead by example and the pack will follow............ Maybe this thread should be stickied on the Video and Graphics Thread too as a reminder! ( hope I don't get banned for this!!)

Vid section imo is the be all and end all to the site , I'm guessing that's what most view and obviously everyone wants to make a good vid that gets lots of praise .

People are not going to do that if they see they aren't getting any support by either members or staff . There's no introduce yourself section or post count privileges , the captcha thing I can see the point but so far all it's managed to do is reduce the amount of posts made by everyone . I mean at least ten times I've tried to reply to a video then given up cause it's made harder


Either way unless significant changes are made to the most important section , I don't see any change in the flow of things . Some guy spent 6 hours editing his vid , wrote that in his thread and it got 2 replies , it was really good but another crappy thread that didn't even have a vid took centre stage why was that thread even there and allowed to get to 3 pages ???


Either way tis not my/our job to do anything about it but we are certainly allowed an opinion without the fear of being banned .

kinda off subject but then not.i posted a clip off the ps3 a few nights ago,nothing out of the ordinary.a few minutes later i get a message titled "awesome skate vid".i'm thimking"that's kinda cool",then read it and it says"jk.it would be awesome if i had down's syndrome".i blocked the guy cuz i don't have time for childish games.so it's not just the forums,but things like that are bs,and i don't mean backside.

face the truth! the community only cares about the team they are in & watches their vids over and over again. its a joke. i got a backfoot 180 over 30 decks on hardcore and it has got 5 views or a pop shovit hippy-flip 180 on hardcore witch 10 views . it's ridiculous! or take a look at the featured vids. most of them are glitched bails and they got 10000views !!!! my advice: just have fun with your team freeskatin' or pwn some noobs online. no matter what we will post, this will never change. it's a pity! besides i totally agree with u guys and thanks a lot to MagicNarcosis!

I know man i have put up 22 vids on youtube. I do this with high expectations hoping i will inspire someone. because people inspire me all the time. but all i get is nice job keep them coming. no constructive criticism at all just a line of bs i make graphics parks vids i do it all but i get nothing in return. so this next montage i make may be my last because i just can't allocate time to something i get no response from. I don't care if you have seen any of my vids in the past i don't care if you watch any in the future. Just know that i tried to entertain people with my vids and what not. So my next montage is probably my last. but for people who are new to this montage thing just bare in mind that to get even the most remedial reply you have to be better than the next guy, in every aspect of the game. I will miss this a lot after this montage but i probably won't come back. so to every one have fun and keep on keepin on maybe you will surface one day, i will keep a look out but until then peace.

This is a real thread, I feel a lot of whats been said, and its a shame because communities only grow through nurture. Being an adult who's learned to do many things Ive gotta say that this has been the most disheartening. It takes a while to compile a 3-4 minute vid, and unless its terrible your unlikely to get even 1 comment. Some of the best videos only have a few hundred views which goes to show how small this community really is, I think it's cool if you except you're doing this as an individual pastime, but as a community its depressing.

Hi, new to this forum... longtime stater, gamer, collector.

So, we know EA's Skate 3 is pretty sweet.

I've always thought they should have old school shapes and graphics to shred on, but they still haven't got it.

They've come a little closer with an online custom graphics creator, but still no cool shape decks.

Now, some people have done some sweet Powell graphics (a Ripper, a Beamer, and also a Jay Smith)... but I was feelin a little creative and made myself a Mullen Chess graphic.

Now, like I said the graphics program is kinda clunky and my proportions ended up being a little off, but it's still not a bad go.

Please create and share more oldschool graphics!! And then maybe for Skate 4 (or an update) they'll put in some cool OLD shapes.
