The new patch is great and I'm loving the freebie from it. Shame I can't pay them more for their hard work. Hopefully DLC comes soon and I get the chance to.

Best patch ever, but judging by your signature, I don't think you want to hear that

Makes the game playable again. It is funny how all of the complaints overall for this game are either it is too easy or it is too hard.

Too soon for a verdict, but here the problems I found:

- Fire trucks behavior (sometimes the trucks dont leave the station, sometimes they leave but dont do nothing);
- Pollution coming from nowhere;
- Hotels eating sims

still too early to call, but I love the general increase of difficulty.

I wish I had your luck with this one guys, this is the first time I have encountered a lot of problems playing( not game breaking but annoying) -

10 cop cars to 1 robber while the 2nd robber is the next block over, crime in progress, buses on loop de loops all clustered together. My train station no longer receives a train but has 240 minute wait for 16 passengers waiting, and 87 riders per day...

My first new city I started (new region) no factories and Wind farm energy, and I have pollution clouds...

:sigh: it was all going so well. LOL
Ah well grind away till the next patch comes out.

So far the pollution is killing me.

Added huge bugs for me in a brand new city, only one in the region.

Major air pollution bug introduced, ironically they were meant to be fixing air pollution. Causes huge issues with health.

Lots of issues where people are inexplicably out of money. No traffic problems as city is relatively small, so they can get to jobs (have good public transport), plenty of jobs of the right $ available, low taxes. Just no reason for it. This has a knock on effect that because so many people are out of money you're having to bulldoze on a massively increased scale, which in turn drastically affects how your education levels builds up, as you're constantly losing educated sims and replacing them with uneducated ones in the new buildings.

I'm beginning to doubt they have the ability to fix things even if they do have the will.

So far I'm happy. ( existing region on testserver )

- Not noticed any strange pollution effects
- Fire trucks. Better for me
- Busses from the small busstation are not removed when the building is demolished.
Busstation was disabled for 2 in-game days.

It's fun trying everything again

When fire engines work... They work.

Other than that, plenty of reading to be found on the forum, many many topic with stuff people have found that the update either doesn't actually do what they say it does in the update notes or it breaks something else. Just have a look around.

most of the people posting havent gotten passed 2-3 hours of play or over 90-100k population

A LOT OF transit was fixed.....

cant tell if tourism and casinos are fixed... simply because of the pollution bug

the pollution bug starts to happen after around 2-3 hours of play... or generally around the time you hit 90-100k pop

Im not gonna go ranting here like i did in the other posts

but this causes a lot of problems because for myself.... i was able to before the patch get a city up to 100-200k before bugs became apparent in the transit system/ tourism /trade

Now i get up there and cant see if any fixes worked because pollution randomly pops up (in an upwind all R/C city) out of nowhere.... and i have no pollution causing buildings and well garbage is fine

Now i know people are having trouble with looping services..... maybe thats where the pollution comes from... *Trucks start looping and never return... trash builds up... pollution "Comes out of nowhere"*

Which makes sense if thats the bug

also after a certain point you will start demolishing half your city due to pollution causing people to move in and immediatly out after about 2-5 minutes....... starting what people are now dubbing the "Whack a mole" phase... where all you do is demolish buildings over and over again hoping for it to stable out...

All in all..... if you wanna go by numbers..... it fixed lets say 10 things..... but broke 2 other things.... and sadly those 2 other things effect the 10 things they fixed.....

What he said..... when things are working.. they are working great.. and thats awesome because welll. they really didnt work correctly at all before this....

So obviously they have the agent system working pretty decent now....

take a look around the forums like he said....

Obviously take both sides with a grain of salt.. even my own posts as im only human....

but it seems the 2 glaring issues that have cropped up so far are

1. Randomly generated pollution at the 2hr/100k population mark
2. Abandoned building whack a mole (possibly due to the pollution bug)

I experienced both of these in 2 brand new regions with 2 brand new cities .. one a mining/trade.. the other tourism/gambling

Well, I got heavy pollution and abandoned buildings with just 1200 in my new region/city with zero factories. I AM DONE.

I did as well, I was far below 100k, maybe somewhere closer to about 19500 or so when I thought to start looking.

Plenty of reading here:
