They look the same but are they. And why would EA put out 2 games with in 6 months of each other. Do They talk to each other or they in competition with each other. They look to make a lot of money off both games. I am a long time fan of NFS, i just want to know why they are doing this. I bought the Starter Pack for World and when this game comes out i will buy it also.
Is Hot Pursuit going to be online for the pc? If so than the games will almost the same.
The only difference i know of is World will be growing literally. Im not trying to make trouble im just curious of how they view each other!!

The reason there are two is Hot Pursuit is made mainly for consoles, yes there is a PC version but the overall game is for 360, PS3 and Wii while World is PC only, plus remember it's two different people making them, EA is making World as Hot Pursuit is made by Criterion which is it's own company and just partners with EA sometimes, they're releasing both together so neither side feels left out.

The greatest difference is the system underneath what we see. World is an MMO that you need to be online with in order to play. It's strictly for computers and it's quite a bit more arcadish than Hot Pursuit.

They are as different as night and day.
In addition to the reasons listed by Ubersil and Sgt Kiya Dragon, they are based off two totally different ideas and follow two totally different concepts.
HP is a revival of the NFS style of games used before the era of ricers. It is a game focused on enjoying cars on long, open stretches of road and feeling the excitement of the police chase.
World is an MMO for PC only which combines two games from after the ricer era, and takes place entirely inside of a city.
Online and for PC are where the similarities end.
