What have we figured out about which milestones will get players cards? From what they've done so far, I guess 800 points is a milestone, but maybe that's just if you're a Canucks player, and then there was however many wins Fleury had got one. Is it going to be consistent? With all players that reach the milestone getting a card, or just whoever EA wants to release?

Based on what some people have hit, 100 goals definitely isn't enough to get a milestone card, what else can we eliminate that people have hit this year without getting a card for it?

Ovechkin will probably get 400 goals this year (he has 378 now or something). That will for sure be a milestone card.

They should have it written on the card what the milestone is.

Jagr will probably get one when he hits 1700 points or when he passes Lemieux on the all time list. 7 points away from 1700 and 30 points away from passing Lemieux.

He has 7 goals this year. 400 is a stretch.

I don't think it is. My guess at what they were was off, so I have no idea. Fleury had 250 wins, and it also put him in the top 50 all time. Sedin's put him in the top 150, I just feel 800 isn't really a milestone number.

They definitely aren't using the ones from NHL's milestones page:

I think they're just looking at whoever hits whatever milestone and judging whether they want them to have a card or not.

Speaking of, how is Hall's card a milestone and not a player of the game / HUT live?

If a player has a standout game during the NHL season, a Player of the Game special edition item may be released, but only for a very limited time. These players receive an extra boost to their ratings.

That really doesn't seem like a milestone to me. Why wasn't Hertl's a 4 goals in a game milestone?

I don't think there's any rhyme or reason to this. They seem more confused than we do, and we don't know anything.

Legitimately made me laugh out loud on that one.

I wondered this as well. I think it's because Hall's two goals in eight seconds broke an Oilers record set by Gretzky, therefore some consider it a "milestone." It's a stretch but it's the only thing I could think of.

As a Ducks fan, I pray Teemu explodes offensively and gets his 700th goal this year, but it's unlikely. I'd love to see him get it, and getting a special Teemu card would be awesome.
