Thanks everybody.

@Mert: Adomah will probably play a fair chunk. Which Williams do you mean? Rhys is essential for me, but the strike one is probably gone be a reserve.

@Mert: Rhys is ace, definitely. Just shot down a 2.5m bid from Bolton from him (Value is around 1m).

@Emnes: Happy to see a Boro fan around here

Quintet Depart Di Canio’s “Revolution”

Paolo Di Canio has begun clearing out what he perceives as deadwood at Middlesbrough, as the club confirmed the departure of five players today. The departures are thought to have boosted the club’s coffers by ~ £700,000.

The club’s statement read: “Middlesbrough Football Club would like to wish the best of luck to Andre Bennett, Jayson Leutwiler, Jonathan Woodgate, and the strike duo of Charlie Wyke and Curtis Main, who have all left the club to join Shelbourne, FC Aurau, Fulham, and Crewe Alexandra respectively. All post tax funding from the sales will be added to the club’s transfer budget.”

Di Canio, interviewed by SkySports as he entered training this morning, hinted that the funding would be used to procure a new star striker, but gave little away as to the man’s identity. He said, “We needed some help to score goals, and these players were not really going to play for me as it was. When offers came in, we felt it was best they moved on.”

Speculation is rife among the media as to who Di Canio will sign, but the most often linked names are Stoke City’s Peter Crouch, Fulham’s Hugo Rodallega, and Arsenal’s Nicklas Bendtner.

TRANSFER SUMMARY:

OUT:

Andre Bennett --->Shelbourne (25K)
Charlie Wyke ---> Crewe (90K)
Jonathan Woodgate ---> Fulham (375K)
Jayson Leutwiler ---> FC Aurau (50K)
Curtis Main ---> Crewe (150K)

Surprised Woodgate left but considering his age and injury record you got a decent amount for him.

Back in the day, I was an immense Woodgate fan, but he's got no legs now, not to mention that he was on 20K a week, which in the Championship is actually a lalalala ton.

Other than him, it was reserves that I sold so far so yeah.

Rodallega Recruited

Paolo Di Canio unveiled his first signing as Middlesbrough manager this morning as Hugo Rodallega completed a £2,000,000 move from Fulham. The Columbian striker, aged 28, signed a five year deal with the Teeside outfit at a reported mammoth £40,000/week.

Rodallega said, "I moved to Fulham with great hopes after my time at Wigan, but it was not the same. I didn't enjoy my football there. Martin Jol lied to me. He didn't have faith in me and it hurt my goalscoring last season. Paolo has immense faith in me though, and I want to repay him by firing the club to the Premier League. We've been out of it too long."

Di Canio added, "Hugo is a hard worker and a striker who never gives up. He is always looking for goals, and played in the right system, he will get them. I am proud to welcome him to the club as the first signing of the Paolo Di Canio revolution."

TRANSFER SUMMARY:

IN:

Hugo Rodallega (2m from Fulham)

OUT:

Andre Bennett --->Shelbourne (25K)
Charlie Wyke ---> Crewe (90K)
Jonathan Woodgate ---> Fulham (375K)
Jayson Leutwiler ---> FC Aurau (50K)
Curtis Main ---> Crewe (150K)

First time I look at CM forums in about 6 months and I see a Boro one, Love it! Just finished my first season with them and run away with the league :') would recommend you sell Varga for the price you get for him and sign a defender and a keeper, love steele IRL but just doesnt do it on the game
