Intriguing prospect, isn’t it? Bypassing licensing issues and getting the players you desperately want in your team, the Fabio Cannavaro’s, Katlego Mphela’s and the Andrey Shevchenko’s that elude your greedy grasps as they’re all the way out in the Ukraine or the Middle East?

Yes, I hear you gasp. But how? Read and learn, chillens.

1) Starting from the Main Menu when you open FIFA, select My FIFA11, then Edit Teams, then Squads, then National Squads.

2) Find the player you want to make available in his international side. If he isn’t there, or his international team isn’t in the game, he might be covered in the second method. But for now, keep reading.

3) Swap him out of his international squad, generally for someone awful so their rating stands out and you can swap him back in later. For example, if you wanted Darijo Srna, I’m swapping him for D. Glavina, a 44 OVR left back.

4) Exit the squad, and then select Club Transfers from that menu. Scroll to the country “Free Agents”, and you’ll find the clubless player you swapped out of his country, oddly with an incredibly low overall rating – for me, Darijo Srna becomes a 12 overall RM.

5) Transfer him to a team you’ll remember – it doesn’t matter who. I recommend A.S.S.E, as they have a very small squad so you can do many players on bulk and they’re right next to the country Free Agents. Once transferred, the players rating will recover to its original state.

6) Now go back to International Squad, and re-add the player into his international squad, replacing the dribbly you added in his place.

7) Lastly, transfer the player from the team you transferred him to back into Free Agents. Exit and save your squads. Now, when you open up Career Mode, that player will begin as a free agent – snap up the ones you want (if you can!), and the rest will give various teams across the world a lot more spice than you’d expect.

It’s pretty long, but it isn’t finished – I would be very much obliged if someone could get the details of Ecuador, China and Korea for me, as I simply cannot be bothered to do so after so much work. I am also well aware that I may have missed some from any country – if there are any glaringly obvious misses, don’t hesitate to let me know.
